Newsletter Winter 2012

Welcome to the first newsletter of Inn On the Beach. We write this as a reflection of our past year, a thank you to our wonderful staff and guests, and a way to inform everyone of the exciting changes which have taken place since the inn ended its first season.

As this is our inaugural newsletter we expect we will be learning as we go, much like we did when Joe and I began the exciting transformation of the inn. As many of you are aware, we had a wonderful season between the extraordinary weather we experienced, our dedicated staff, and most importantly, the guests whom graced us with their presence. Our guests kind words and the encouragement to keep our little piece of paradise simple and unassuming, allowed us the insight necessary to move forward with the much needed updating of all things structural and mechanical.  The esthetics........new wood floors replacing all the rugs, bathroom updates, new furniture and t.v.'s will come in phases. As of this newsletter, the completion of the new roof for units 1-15, repainting of all the units, repairs of screen doors, new patio furnishings, updating of the guest lounge furniture and barbecue area have been or are in the process of completion for the upcoming 2012 season.

We believe the changes which have been made and the ones taking place as this newsletter is being written, will undoubtedly improve the quality of the inn and ensure a comfortable stay for our guests.

Our superb staff, we are excited to announce, will be returning this year. Shirley, our head housekeeper, will be back this season and she will have a new crew to train in the art of keeping the units in tip-top condition and up to her high standards. Our office assistant last year Stephanie, whom was so helpful to so many,  has accepted the position of General Manager of the inn and will be responsible for all day to day operations. Jeannie, our dedicated part time office assistant, who has been with us from the beginning of this journey, will also return in the same capacity as the reliable friend and dedicated employee she has been since before the inn opened for business.

Joe and I are looking forward with great enthusiasm to the upcoming 2012 season. Hopefully we'll see many of you again.
